We arrived at Casablanca airport before dawn, and caught a train to Casablanca Voyageurs and then on to Tangiers where we finally arrived around 4pm. Sitting at stations and watching from the train window was a great way to get used to the people and landscape, though the dirty train windows and tiredness resulted in few photos being taken.
The surprise was to see how green and fertile and "English looking" much of the countryside was as we got within 2 or 3 hours of Tangiers. A willing but half-blind taxi driver got us to near our hotel, Dar Chams Tanja, and three tip-hungry lads finshed the journey for our luggage on foot.
